A Moment in Time: Nature Photography Class

  • Lavender Essentials of Vermont 2103 Herrick Road Derby, VT, 05829 United States (map)

We will create beautiful photos, using just the sun, plants, and water! No cameras need! Explore the farm, pick your favorite flowers or ferns, and create an amazing design on paper with just lighting and shadows! We’ll be using cyanotype paper to create unique images you can take home.

The photographic process of cyanotype was invented in 1842. The British botanist, Anna Atkins, who has been described as the first woman to produce a photographic book, used the process to illustrate algae in Photographs of British Algae: Cyanotype Impressions in 1843.

By the end of class, you will create four 4” x 6” framed photos you can hang on the wall! This is an easy class for all ages! $35 per person.
