Handmade Vintage Vermont Farm Slicer

From a Vermont family collection, this unusual old wooden farm tool was handmade by a previous generation and built for practical use rather than decoration.

Constructed from solid wood with old nailed joinery, it features a large fixed steel cutting blade mounted over an opening, allowing sliced material to fall into the wooden box below. It was likely made for slicing or processing vegetables, although its exact original use is unknown.

The wood, blade and hardware remain untouched and naturally aged, with substantial patina, staining, oxidation and wear that tell its history. Nothing has been refinished or modernized.

A wonderful piece of authentic Vermont farm history for a primitive kitchen, farmhouse collection or rustic display.
